Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT)
913 IIB - ACT, 12 Weeks
The primary goal of this course is to teach the basic philosophy, behavior change procedures and techniques of ACT. In addition to the conventional lecture and classroom discussions, this course gives a primary emphasis on teaching the core therapeutic processes of ACT experientially.
Upon the completion of this course it is expected that participants will be able to acquire a working knowledge and the skills of ACT for the alleviation of psychological suffering in individuals, couples and families. Thus, anyone who is interested in the alleviation of psychological suffering may benefit from this course, however, it is primarily designed for clinicians, therapists, rehabilitation professionals, nurses, program designers and developer.

REQUIREMENTS AND EVALUATION FOR THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE COUSE:
In order to successfully complete the course, participants are required:
- To participate with the class discussions and practicum exercises and score at least 80% in all of the unit quizzes which will contribute 50 % to the course credit.
- Complete the Relational Frame Theory (RFT) tutorial on line, which will contribute to 20 % to the course credit.
- Make a classroom presentation on a selected topic which will contribute 20% to the course credit.
- Making creative contributions to the class discussions which will contribute 10 % to the course credit.
