Academic Interests

Dr. Lytwyn’s teaching interests are in the areas of critical appraisal, clinical epidemiology and RCTs, diagnostic testing, screening, predictive factors, and technology assessment.

Her current research activities span a wide range of topics, from the views of immigrant women on cervical cancer screening, anal cancer screening in HIV-positive men, to studies on HPV and vulvar cancer, developing a predictive model for genital HPV infection, a meta-analysis of the accuracy of reported pap smear and mammography use, and quality assurance studies.
