Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics

Support Research and Education

In CE&B, one of our goals is to prepare graduate students and young researchers to be among the intellectual, scientific and health-professional leaders of tomorrow. We do this by providing a learning and research experience that builds on the pioneering, research-methodology approach that distinguishes our department.

Through your support, we can better help graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and exceptional researchers meet these goals.

Make a difference to HRM graduate students and researchers in CE&B.

OPTIONS

Establish a lasting legacy by endowing and
naming a new Chair or Professorship in CE&B

Endowed Chairs and Professorships allow the Faculty of Health Sciences and CE&B to recognize distinguished academic achievement and develop new research initiatives by recruiting and retaining scholars working in areas important to the Department.

Please contact Ann Brodie to learn more about establishing an Endowed Chair or Professorship.

Add to the David L. Sackett Scholarship Trust

To honour Dr. David Sackett, our first Department Chair, and to model his enthusiasm for educating and mentoring graduate students, the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics is establishing the David L. Sackett Scholarship Trust to support exceptional doctoral students enrolled in the Health Research Methodology Program at McMaster University.

Double the impact of your donation:

Wayne Taylor’s company, Clinical DataFax Systems Inc., will match contributions to a total of $125,000, thereby doubling your own charitable donation.

  • Make your gift to the David Sackett Scholarship Fund.

To honour Bernie’s enthusiasm for supporting and mentoring young researchers in his field, the O'Brien Fellowship will be awarded to exceptional post-doctoral fellows in health economics and health-technology assessment at McMaster University.

The award will recognize the Fellow's excellence in academic endeavour and capacity to contribute to health economics and health-technology assessment through their proposed research.
