Master of Public Health

The Department Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (HEI) announces the new Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate program. The MPH program mobilizes the department's strengths in population health, epidemiology, health research methodology, health policy analysis, health services management, and knowledge translation.

The MPH program builds on HEI's expertise in health policy analysis and health research methodology within a public health framework. This offers a new suite of research skills, knowledge and ready-to-apply practical experience to MPH graduate students.

The Master of Public Health program features:

  • A focus on general public health issues
  • Three additional areas of focus: public health policy & public health management, public health research methods, and environmental health
  • Core and elective courses
  • Either a thesis-based program or 4 month practicum -based (with a capstone paper)
  • Full-time or part-time registration
  • A blend of classroom and optional online course delivery in the future
  • Completion in 16-24 months (full-time) or four years (part-time).
