Online Professional Development Courses
These courses are offered to professionals for
continuing education purposes.
The coursework is designed to enable professionals to further develop their knowledge and skills in working effectively with infants, children, youth and families, especially those experiencing health issues and life changing events. The courses are literature-based courses that review the current knowledge and research related to each topic.
The format for these courses is an 'on-line' format which is easily accessible through the world-wide web.
- Each course is 6 weeks in length.
- Modules of text-based information are placed on-line each week.
- Tutor support is available throughout the duration of each course.
- Each course has 2 assignments (weeks 3 and 6).
- Course assignments are case studies where application of course information is expected.
- Contact between the tutor and students in the course is expected, through chats, e-mail contact and other pre-arranged methods of communication.
