Dr. Thompson obtained her undergraduate medical degree at McMaster University and went on to complete her residency training in Emergency Medicine (FRCPC) at McMaster. She also completed a fellowship in Sports and Exercise Medicine also at McMaster and went on to receive a Diploma from the Canadian Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine.  She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division Emergency Medicine, Department of Medicine at McMaster University and is an Emergency Physician at Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Josephs Hospital. She has worked with athletes of all levels including serving as a team physician for the varsity rugby teams at McMaster University and providing medical coverage for athletes during the 2016 PanAm games. She has an interest in Sport Related Concussions and Event Management.
