Graduate Programs

The Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University offers five distinct research-oriented graduate programs each leading to a M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree.

The Medical Sciences Program is divided into six areas of specialization each of which is represented by a Program Area Coordinator. These individuals, together with the Assistant Dean of Medical Sciences, the Assistant Deans of each of the Clinical Health Sciences Programs and other representatives of the faculty and student bodies, are members of the Faculty's Graduate Curriculum and Policy Committee, which oversees the activities of the Graduate Programs. The Committee is chaired by the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies (Health Sciences), currently Dr. Cathy Hayward, who together with the Assistant Deans and Program Area Coordinators is responsible for the administration of the Graduate Programs in Health Sciences.
