The length is 2000 words ą 15%, not including figures and references
The topic is a disease or any physiological topic
You choose one cellular / molecular aspect of the disease or physiological topic, which should occupy about 75-80% of your topic. The focus is on physiological details of a selected topic, not generalities of a disease
The rest is an anatomical / general physiological introduction / discussion
Hence you do not follow the format of the final group report
The audience would be students who are familiar with physiology but not your specific topic
An emphasis is finding the right resource materials, being able to summarize the data very succinctly. It is important that you find excellent references. The use of only one textbook is not acceptable. It is essential that at least two references are used and integrated in your essay that are journal articles from before 2005-2007. Obviously many articles before 2004 are accepted in addition.
