Academic trainees’ research dinner with Dr. Bhandari

Published: June 15, 2015

On June 15, our Division's research fellows, graduate students, and budding surgeon-scientists gathered with Dr. Bhandari for a year-end evening of reflection and celebration at Harbour Sixty Steakhouse in Toronto. In attendance were Ilyas Aleem, Moin Khan, Nathan Evaniew, Raman Mundi, Harman Chaudhry, Kim Madden, and Tahira Devji.

The group presented updates for ongoing and future MacOrtho research projects, focused on academic career planning for those trainees returning to residency or transitioning to fellowships, and finalized their contributions to a forthcoming collaborative textbook, ‘Clinical Research Made Easy (2nd edition)’. As the night closed, Dr. Bhandari led the group through an exercise of self-reflection and helped them understand how cultivating their strengths and finding passion can lead their research to truly make a difference.
