It gives us great pleasure to announce that Osama Al-Shaya has been chosen as one of three recipients for the MSA Outstanding Fellow Award in its inaugural year 2013.
Message from Dr. Al-Shaya:
"I was born and raised in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. I completed my medical school training at King Saud University in 2004 and recieved my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). Also, I spent my internship year training in Saudi Arabia.
I had the honor of completing my orthopedic residency at McMaster University from 2007 - 2012. I became a FRCSC fellow in July 2012 and I am enjoying training in Orthopedic Oncology and Arthroplasty at McMaster with Dr. Michelle Ghert and Dr. Benjamin Deheshi.
I want to thank also all the staff at McMaster University who gave me insightful advice during my training.
I should not forget to thank my wife Muneerah for being loving and supportive all the time and my son Malek, who is always the source for my motivation.
I am very happy to be one of the fellows who recieved the Outstanding Fellow Award for 2013 from MSA at McMaster University."
