This week, we are pleased to showcase Dr. Bradley Petrisor, full-time faculty member and MacOrtho Residency Program Director.
In the first week of October, Dr. Petrisor (along with Rubini Pathy, MacOrtho orthopaedic resident and Franca Mossuto, SRN orthopaedics) will depart for Uganda to be part of a team of orthopaedic surgeons, residents, nurses and rehab staff from USTOP (Uganda Sustainable Trauma Orthopedic Program), run by the Department of Orthopedics at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Petrisor and this team will provide orthopaedic trauma education and work alongside local surgeons and orthopaedic trainees to provide optimal orthopedic trauma care to the citizens of Uganda at Mulago Hospital. During this trip, Dr. Petrisor will also determine the feasibility of implementing the INORMUS study (burden of orthopedic trauma) at Mulago Hospital.
