Faculty Spotlight: Devin Peterson

Dr. Devin Peterson completed both his medical school degree and his Orthopedic Residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He continued his training with a sport medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at the University of Western Ontario followed by a second fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics also at Western. Dr. Petersen also obtained additional fellowship training in Spine Deformity Surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Dr. Peterson has been on staff at McMaster University Medical Centre (MUMC) since 2000 and specializes in Pediatric Orthopedics as well as Sport Medicine for both children and adults. He is the CTU director for the Orthopedic Residents at MUMC and is excited to be part of the positive changes occurring in the McMaster University Orthopedic Residency training program.

He and his wife Noella live in Ancaster, Ontario. Over the past number of years he has been actively involved in coaching soccer for his children, Joshua and Jenna. He is also one of the team physicians for the Vanier Cup championship McMaster Marauder’s Football team.
