Dr. Michelle Ghert visits McGill University

Published: February 18, 2013

Dr. Michelle Ghert was recently a visiting professor at McGill University. Dr. Ghert gave a presentation at Grand Rounds entitled "Multi-centre Randomized Trials in Orthopaedic Oncology: Dream or Reality". She also spent time with Dr. Turcotte and the orthopaedic residents in a case-based teaching session where Dr. Ghert presented basic and advanced orthopaedic oncology principles.

Marilyn Swinton, PARITY Methods Centre Research Coordinator, also spent some time with the research staff at McGill working on the logistical details of the PARITY (Prophylactic antibiotic regimens in tumour surgery) trial. The McGill site has currently randomized one patient for this recently launched study.
