The researchers of Hip ATTACK trial just launched their Crowdfunding campaign to help fund recruitment of 40 patients into the trial.
Hip ATTACK is a randomized controlled trial comparing the outcomes of accelerated care (surgery within 6 hours of diagnosis) versus standard care (24-48 hours after diagnosis) following hip fracture. It aims to determine whether accelerated surgery results in improved recovery and fewer deaths. Hip ATTACK will enrol 1200 patients from Canada, Europe, South America, Africa, Asia and Australia.
