We are pleased to report that MacOrtho was represented at the Indigenous Health conference this week at the University of Toronto. Dr. Mohit Bhandari and Kim Madden were authors on the poster titled "Prevalence of abuse and intimate partner violence surgical evaluation (PRAISE) North: The proposed project". PRAISE North aims to evaluate the prevalence of abuse among First Nations, Metis, and Inuit women in Canada's northern regions including Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Northern Manitoba, and Northern Ontario.

The Indigenous Health Conference aims to create dialogue on the significant health disparities faced by Indigenous people in Canada. More information on the conference, please click here.
