MacOrtho’s very own PGY5 residents attend the CME Orthopaedic Resident Review in Trauma course. This course, hosted by Canada Medical Education (CME), is being held at the Four Points by Sheraton in Mississauga from November 13th to November 15th, 2014.
This 3-day comprehensive course is designed to provide orthopaedic residents with aspects of orthopaedic trauma management. The courses focuses on 5 main areas including Shoulder and Elbow, the Forearm and Wrist, the Hip and Femur, The Knee, Tibia, Ankle and Foot, and the Pelvis, Acetabulum, Spine and Advanced Trauma Life Support. In addition to the lectures, the course also includes case-based learning sessions, creating a dynamic learning environment. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to take part in mock OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) with immediate feedback and grading provided by renowned faculty members. This course provides participants with a comprehensive review of the relevant knowledge of current orthopaedic trauma management.
