Raman Mundi is a second year orthopaedic surgery resident at McMaster University, where he also graduated from medical school in 2011. Under the mentorship of Dr. Mohit Bhandari, he has developed a keen interest in clinical research methodology and orthopaedic trauma research. With the gobal burden of road traffic fatalities exceeding 1.2 million annually, the World Health Organization has deemed this the "Decade of Action for Road Safety". Raman is excited to commence his Master of Science training this summer as a resident in the Surgeon Scientist Program, such that he can focus his research efforts to help address this important issue. He will serve as project manager for the International Orthopaedic Multicenter Fracture Study in Africa (INORMUS Africa). Outside of work, Raman enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and will always remain committed to his favourite sport—hockey.
