MacOrtho would like to congratulate the Orthopedics residents on winning 2 out of the 4 awards at the Department of Surgery Resident Research Day on November 14th.
Both of our presenters went home with awards. Dr. Thomas Wood, PGY1, was awarded the AK Mighton Award for Best Presentation by a Junior Resident and Dr. CJ Foote won first prize for Best Resident Research Project.

Dr. Wood's presentation was entitled "A Systematic Review of Early vs. Delayed Wound Closure in Patients with Open Fractures Requiring Flap Coverage". Dr. Foote presented on "Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Arthroplasty vs. Arthrodesis for Single-Level Cervical Spondylosis: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis".
