After graduating from Medicine in 1981 and the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in 1986 from the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Robert Josefchak completed an Orthopaedic Fellowship year in Edinburgh, Scotland and Canterbury, England in 1987. He established a General Orthopaedic Surgical practice with a special interest in hand and upper limb surgery in St. Catharines in 1988. Aside from his surgical practice, he has remained active in the Niagara Regional Orthopaedic Community and the Lincoln County Academy of Medicine. Dr. Josefchak has also served on the Board of the Ontario Orthopaedic Association.
Presently, Dr. Josefchak’s teaching in orthopaedic surgery has evolved into his position as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University, Co-ordinator of Clinical Education, and the Regional Education Leader in Orthopaedics for the Niagara Campus of the Michael DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University, Hamilton.
Dr. Josefchak is married to Maureen and has two children Erin and Ryan completing their post secondary school education. He remains active in golfing, road biking, skiing, wine making and travel.
