Our theme for the day, "Executing Change" brought many pioneers of change to McMaster, including the editor of Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (USA), the director of the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research (Canada), the executive director of AO-Clinical Investigation (Zurich).
True to our spirit, we invested in our history, and honoured McMaster's past academic head, Robert F. Martin, and academic surgical chair, Robert Hansebout, and this year's Faculty Recognition Award Recipient, Justin de Beer.
True to our spirit, when moved by the words of the executive director of Interval House of Hamilton on the plight of abused women and children in the city, we acted by raising $4,000 in personal donations in no less than ten minutes.
We have a growing leadership and innovation at MacOrtho. This year's program was a true testament to the change we are creating and want to be at McMaster Orthopaedics. We truly have something special at McMaster.
"Wow. You have something very special here." — James D. Heckman
"Coming here made me understand why McMaster is the best in the world." — Beate Hanson
