Faculty Spotlight: Ajay Manjoo

Dr. Manjoo is pleased to have joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at McMaster University as an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct). His current clinical practice at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington Ontario focuses primarily on Foot and Ankle Reconstruction and Trauma.

Dr. Manjoo completed his orthopaedic residency training at the University of Western Ontario. After his orthopaedic residency, he returned to the University of Western Ontario to complete his Masters in Medical Biophysics

Two clinical fellowships broadened Dr. Manjoo’s orthopaedic exposure. His first fellowship completed at the University of Western Ontario, focused on Orthopedic Trauma and Foot and Ankle Surgery. He then went to the University of Toronto to complete a fellowship in Lower Limb Reconstruction.

Dr. Manjoo has been active in publishing peer-reviewed papers in medical and Orthopaedic journals and is a contributing author in BMJ book Evidence-Based Orthopedics. His most recent work focused on inflammatory/ ischemia-reperfusion pathways in Compartment Syndrome.
