Kim Madden did a presentation on Saturday for the Hamilton-McMaster Rotaract Club called “Intimate Partner Violence Research: A Call to Action”. It was a black-tie charity dinner in support of Interval House of Hamilton and the Hamilton Women’s Centre.

Interval House of Hamilton is a local women’s shelter that provides a safe place, support for abused women with or without children, community outreach services, and practice-based research in a shared quest for freedom from violence.

The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
