Published: April 22, 2016

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you today of the passing of Philip Charles McCloy.

Our colleague, Dr. Rob A McCloy III would like to share a message with all of MacOrtho below:

"Dear friends and colleagues:

You have all been part of my extended family since I started with the Hamilton Health Sciences in 2001. As surgeons, educators, administive and support staff, residents and fellows, and more importantly as friends, you have probably heard me speak so lovingly about my best friend and brother -- Philip Charles McCloy

My parents unexpectedly lost their son, and I, my only brother and best friend Philip on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the age of 28.

For those of you that knew him, you knew that he was a gentle soul that cared so much for and about others. For those of you who didn't have the opportunity to meet him, I wish you had of had this chance. He wanted nothing for himself, but always gave to others. He leaves behind my parents Fatima and Robert McCloy as well as my partner Behashta. Philip will also be missed by Tasha, his friends, and his colleagues at Taco.

For those of you that have heard and reached out to our family -- Thank you.

I would like to invite all of you: surgeons, educators, administive and support staff, residents and fellows to join our family in celebrating the 28 years of joy he brought to our life. Although he was taken from us, he will alway's be in our hearts.

You are invited to visit with my family at:
KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Monday April 25, 2016 from 6-9 p.m.

The Funeral Service will take place at:
