Clinical Immunology & Allergy Residency Program

General Electives Information

The Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy provides an excellent elective experience. Medical students and residents may request to undertake electives with our program.

We offer a variety of clinical opportunities including:

Adverse Reactions – St. Joseph’s Healthcare – Penicillin and other drug reactions as well as stinging insect reactions.

Pediatric Allergy Clinics – McMaster – opportunity to focus your allergy learning on the pediatric population. Food allergy presentations, how food allergy impacts the child and entire family, other common allergy conditions include Asthma, Eczema and environmental allergies.  Observe oral challenges.

Adult Allergy and  Immunology Clinics – excellent mix of allergy presentations (e.g., environmental allergies, urticaria, angioedema).  Presentation of possible immunodeficiency, vasculitis and connective tissue diseases.
