Education and Professional Standing

Currently Dr Maggie Larché holds the position of Associate Professor, Divisions of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology and Allergy, Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics, McMaster University. She is Past-President of the Canadian Rheumatology Ultrasound Society and Chair of the Hamilton Scleroderma Group. She is a member of the Canadian Rheumatology Association (CRA) Annual Scientific Committee, and chairs the Abstract Subcommittee of the CRA.  She completed a BSc, and Medical degree from the University of Bristol, followed by a PhD and Rheumatology training at Imperial College, London, UK, before emigrating to Canada in 2006. During her PhD, she was first author on a "citation classic" Lancet paper, on the role of eosinophils in asthma. 

Clinical and Research Interests

Her major clinical interest is in scleroderma and early inflammatory arthritis with research interests in cellular biomarkers and ultrasonographic and MR imaging.
