Education and Professional Standing

Dr. Luthra received her B.Sc.and M.D. degrees from the University of Toronto. She then trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at University of Toronto. She received her fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2005, and her subspecialty certification in Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2006.

Dr. Luthra is a Clinician Educator at McMaster university. Her clinical practice is based at St. Joseph's hospital. She is interested in the diagnosis and management of various endocrine disorders including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and ovarian diseases; with a special interest in endocrine disorders in pregnancy.

Her academic roles include teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is the subspecialty coordinator for the Endocrinology rotation for Internal medicine trainees. She may participate in clinical trials involving the division of Endocrinology, and quality assurance projects related to the management of Gestational Diabetes.
