Division of Gastroenterology

The Hamilton General Hospital is a 304 bed hospital with a focus on General Surgery, Internal Medicine, as well as a Cardiac and Vascular Program and a Neurosciences & Trauma Program. The GI division provides a consult service for these patients.
Dr Trevor Seaton and Dr Helga Witt-Sullivan are based at the Hamilton General Hospital and provide the majority of the consult service although all members of the GI Division contribute to the rota. The Hamilton General Hospital has a thriving Hepatology service provided by Dr Witt-Sullivan. It also has a two-room endoscopy unit with equipment and facilities for upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP.
