Education and Professional Standing

Courtney Kennedy is Associate Scientific Director at the GERAS Centre (Geriatric Education and Research in Aging Sciences Centre) at Hamilton Health Sciences, St. Peter’s Hospital, and Assistant Professor (PT) at McMaster University (Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics). She is actively involved in trainee development including undergraduate co-op and thesis students, graduate students and as the Research Director for the Geriatric Medicine Residency program. Courtney holds a PhD in Health Research Methodology (McMaster University) and an MSc in Community Health & Epidemiology (Queen’s University). Her current research interests are centred on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of frailty, falls and fracture prevention, and piloting strategies for implementing research into practice.
