Biography

Karen Moffat graduated from Medical Laboratory Science in 1987, received her ART in Hematology in 1994 and her FCSMLS(D) in June 2008. Karen has worked in clinical and research coagulation laboratories and is currently the Technical Specialist, Coagulation, for the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program. Karen holds a faculty appointment of Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, McMaster University.

Karen is a provincial, national and internationally invited guest speaker in the area of hemostasis and thrombosis. Karen is currently working towards her Bachelor of Education in Adult Education through Brock University.

Recipient of the 2007 Coagulation/Hemostasis Technologist Award for Excellence.
