Internal Medicine Residency

Residents' Research Day 2011

Resident research was highlighted and celebrated at the Internal Medicine Research Day on May 25, 2011.  This annual event allows residents, both core and subspecialty, to showcase their research and be recognized for excellence in clinical and scientific projects.

Ninety-one abstracts were submitted, and under the review of Dr. Shariq Haider, research director, and Drs.  Catherine Demers, Frances Tse and John You, 27 projects were selected for clinical poster presentations, 17 for scientific poster presentations and ten projects were selected for oral presentations.  Judging was conducted by Drs. Will Harper, Marianne Talman and Irwin Walker (Clinical) and Drs. Hertzel Gerstein, Mark Loeb and Shannon Bates (Scientific).
