Transfusion Medicine from vein (donor) to vein (recipient). Our faculty derives from the divisions of Pathology and Molecular Medicine and Hematology and includes clinicians, laboratory physicians, research scientists and technical specialists.

Transfusion Medicine at McMaster University offers a rich experience in Transfusion research with

international experts in clinical and basic science research readily accessible to our trainees. The program effectively integrates laboratory and clinical Transfusion Medicine and provides a unique learning experience in all aspects of blood donation and blood manufacturing to ensure the highest standards of safety in Canada.
