Adult Nephrology Residency Training Program

Canadian-Trained Residents

Applicants for subspecialties are selected through a ranking process by a Selection Committee which meets after resident interviews are completed. The Nephrology Program typically accepts two to three new trainees each year, although the number of residency positions available varies from year to year. In recent years the program has had between one and four PGY-4 year trainees.

Residents who are eligible for Ontario Ministry of Health Funded training can obtain information on the application process for our program by visiting the CaRMS Website.

Residents can be considered for training in Nephrology at McMaster University if they have completed at least three years of training in an approved Internal Medicine Residency Training Program. Information regarding licensure requirements are available at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario website.
