Noori Akhtar-Danesh, an associate professor with the School of Nursing, has won a teaching award from the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
An associate member of the Department, Akhtar-Danesh was presented with the Associate/Part-Time Teaching Award on September 6 for his work in the 2011-2012 academic year.
The awards recognize the Department’s faculty for their excellence in teaching, mentoring and supervisory activities. Students submit nominations for these awards each year.
"Receiving this award is a great honour, especially considering the high calibre of the faculty members in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. I’m humbled by this award," said Akhtar-Danesh. "I would like to thank all of my students, as I have learned something from each and every one of them."
