To the new cohort of OTC students and mentors:

Welcome to the Ontario Training Centre in Health Services and Policy Research.

We are delighted that you will be participating in the Diploma (and Collaborative) Program in Health Services and Policy Research, established by the Ontario Training Centre in Health Services and Policy Research (OTC), and funded primarily by the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

On behalf of the 18 OTC Principal Co-Investigators (Principals) from across our six universities,  let me take this opportunity to extend the warmest welcome to each of you and to wish you a very enriching and productive experience as a student or mentor.  We particularly thank each of the mentors who have kindly agreed to provide this key support to develop capacity in health services and policy research.

This Guide will assist you in your  respective roles.  Please feel free to contact me whenever I can be of any assistance.

Yours truly,

Miguel A. Pérez, Ph.D.
