Courses and Equivalencies
A student must satisfactorily complete
all aspects of the individual Learning Plan to be
awarded the Diploma or Certificate of Completion.
Most students enrolled in the health services and policy
research program will participate in learning experiences
that are the equivalent of two or more full courses to obtain
the competencies needed for an effective, entry-level health
services researcher.
Summer Institutes,
Research Practicum,
and Policy Practicum are equivalent to a half (or one term)
course each.
The minimum requirement is 1.5 full course equivalents over
and above graduate degree requirements. The program is open
to both full- and part-time students. For students who undertake
the program requirements full-time, the expected duration
of the diploma program is 2 terms.
For information on specific university
courses that relate to the OTC competencies, go to the Courses
section in the navigation bar above.
