Hamilton Society of Pathologists

50th Anniversary (1961-2011)

The Hamilton Society of Pathologists is a podium for dialogue, education, and fellowship among area Pathologists and Pathology Residents.

The Society meets six times a year for dinner and discussion with each of the four hospital sites in Hamilton taking turn presenting interesting cases. Two community hospitals will also be invited to participate each year and meetings will occasionally feature invited speakers. Prior to each meeting, glass slides for cases to be discussed will be sent to all participating sites and will be followed with electronically distributed diagnoses and a brief write-up after the meeting.

Records are kept for both participants and presenters and a certificate is issued to each member at the end of each year for the Royal College Maintenance of Competence credits.

A social outing for all members, including retired pathologists, will take place in June of each year.
