Adam Fleming

Dr. Adam Fleming is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology-Oncology. Dr. Fleming earned his undergraduate degree in chemical/biomedical engineering at McMaster University. ┬áHe completed his Master’s of biomedical engineering and MD at the University of Toronto, and then headed to the west coast for his pediatric training and a Hematology-Oncology fellowship at BC Children’s Hospital. He developed a particular interest in childhood brain tumours, which led him to pursue sub-specialty training in Pediatric Neuro-oncology at Harvard University (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute / Boston Children’s Hospital).

Dr. Fleming was recruited to McGill University in 2011, and spent three years on staff at the Montreal Children’s Hospital leading the Pediatric Neuro-oncology Clinic. He was also the Program Director for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology training program, and has been the site principal investigator for several industry and government-sponsored clinical trials in the field of brain tumour research.
