Academic Coordinator, Recruitment, Promotion and Tenure
Sarah-Kai has been a McMaster employee since 2006 and has held several roles at the University during her tenure. She has supported finance services and provided administrative and operations support to the Department of Medicine. In 2011 she transferred to Pediatrics where she supported the Associate Chair of Education and later provided temporary coverage for the Academic Coordinator in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine as well as the Division of Pediatric Critical Care’s Fellowship Program. She is currently the Academic Coordinator, Recruitment, Promotion and Tenure for the Department of Pediatrics.
Sarah-Kai earned a Bachelor of Arts in Labour Studies and Political Science at McMaster and plans to upgrade to an honours degree in order to pursue a Masters in Labour Studies or Industrial Relations. She is also taking Human Resources courses through McMaster’s Continuing Education Centre with the goal of qualifying for her Canadian Human Resources Program (CHRP) designation.
Reflecting on her time at McMaster, she has particularly enjoyed learning about the University’s Medical Education Program and has embraced each and every new role she’s taken on. Her years at McMaster have been filled with varied learning experiences, with challenges and unpredictable changes, making every day unique.
