Dr. Kristen Hallett is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at McMaster University and a Consultant Pediatrician at McMaster Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hallett practiced as a pharmacist until she completed medical school at McMaster University. She then completed her post-graduate pediatric training at McMaster.
Following her training at McMaster, Dr. Hallett relocated to Owen Sound for seven years. There, she was recognized for detecting the first pediatric cases of E.coli 0157 in the Walkerton Water Crisis.
Dr. Hallett returned to McMaster in 2006. In 2008, she obtained a Masters in Health Law from York University Osgoode Hall. Dr. Hallett has a special interest in educating physicians and medical students, focusing on proper and ethical written and electronic documentation and consent to treatment.
Dr. Hallett is a division lead for the General Pediatric Inpatient Unit. She is a pediatric medical consultant to McMaster Children’s Hospital Child Advocacy & Assessment Program (CAAP) with over 15 years of experience working with various Child Protection Services.
Dr. Hallett provides outpatient consulting pediatric care to the community of Hamilton and surrounding regions at her Stoney Creek Office.
