The PERD Network is the Program for Educational Research & Development's informal membership circle. Made up of faculty, staff, students and associates, the Networks functions ad a potential resource center for those actively involved in Medical Education scholarship.

There are three levels of membership within PERD:

PERD Scientists are educational researchers, generally PhDs, who are interested in Medical Education Research. Senior Scientists are hired as full-time or part-time members of PERD and support the Faculty of Health Sciences. PERD Scholars are people with an interest in Medical Education and who are engaged in research or Best Evidence Medical Education practice. Scholars have access to PERD and online resources and will be invited to various educational initiatives. PERD Fellows are people who are engaged in an educational program (Masters or PhD) with a focus on educational research. Included in this level of membership will be those in the new Masters of Health Science Education.

Members of the PERD Network have access to a wide range of articles and other resources pertaining to Medical Education, as well as receive updates on the latest news and events in the Medical Education World. Members will also have many opportunities to come into contact with other FHS colleagues who, given their interests and expertise, may be uniquely positioned to assist that member in some current or proposed research endeavour.
