Program description: Clinical training includes cognitive behavioural and pharmacological treatment for anxiety disorders, with a special focus on OCD, GAD, social phobia, and panic disorder with or without agoraphobia. Attention is also given to co-morbidity with mood disorders. Current research projects include topics such as: neuroimaging and OCD; neurobiological mechanisms underlying efficacy of CBT for social phobia; self-help based treatments for social phobia; motivational enhancement for OCD;teasing and social anxiety; anddevelopment of virtual reality environments for treatment of anxiety.

Eligibility and Application Process: Applicants must have completed an approved psychiatric residency. Fellows’ time must be separate from residency training. An Ontario medical license and possession of an FRCPC are assets, although not essential. (If the fellow is not licensed, clinical responsibilities will fall on the supervisor). Fellows must register with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University.

Applicants should submit the following: Letter(s) from supervisor(s) confirming their commitment, a current CV, and description of the research and clinical goals for the fellowship.
