The goals of the CLEAR Unit are in keeping with the Vision, Mission and Values of the CLEAR Committee

1. To facilitate Community-based AIDS Organizations (CBAOs) to:

a) develop their capacity and effectiveness to provide evidence informed practice

b) evaluate their HIV/AIDS Prevention, Support and Volunteer Programs including Organizational Capacity

2. To synthesize trends, and disseminate lessons learned from discussions of research studies and other best practices to CBAOs, the broader HIV/AIDS Community in Ontario and elsewhere.

3. To be a viable, visible, knowledgeable, credible and inclusive Resource to CBAO programs in Ontario funded by the AIDS Bureau, Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and/or AIDS Community Action Program (ACAP).

4. To effectively inform the policies and practices of the Ontario Ministry of Health's support for an effective community-based response to HIV/AIDS.
