CONGRATULATIONS to the following faculty and residents:
- Dr. Jessica Collins, recipient of the PAIRO Resident Teaching Award. The award honours senior residents who provide outstanding clinical teaching to junior housestaff and clerks. Jessica is in her fourth year of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program and co-authored teaching handouts which can be viewed here:
- Dr. James Bain, recipient of the 2010 PAIRO Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award for McMaster University.
- Dr. Victoria Avram, recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Clerkship Preceptor Award - Orthopedic Surgery from the graduating class of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine.
- Dr. Zachary Klinghoffer, who won 1st prize at the Jack Wyatt Urology Residents' Day on April 29th 2011 with his presentation "Cost Utility of Radical Nephrectomy versus Partial Nephrectomy in the Management of Small Renal Masses: Adjusting for the Burden of Chronic Kidney Disease"
- Dr. Christina Goldstein and Dr. Michael Hickey, winners of the 2011 MSA Outstanding Senior Resident Award. Congratulations also to the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery which was the only surgical specialty represented in the list of six awardees chosen from all Post-graduate programs.
