Over the past decade the reputation of the Division of Thoracic Surgery has grown substantially as a centre for clinical excellence, research and education, owing in part, to the participation of members of the Division in several high-profile, international research studies in emphysema, asthma and lung cancer. The Division prides itself on its continued commitment to exploring medical frontiers through research, building and enhancing relationships that create research opportunities that foster a first-class post-graduate training program.
