Kathryn Bennett, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Currently, Dr. Bennett holds an Ontario Ministry of Health Career Scientist Award (1999-2004). Her research aims to strengthen preventive mental health services for children through an evidence-based approach to program and policy development. Current research projects include: i) screening for early onset aggression in young children; ii) epidemiological studies of the relationship between the early onset of aggression and later health and psychosocial outcomes; iii) gender differences in the determinants and outcomes of suspension in elementary school; and iv) the effects of special education interventions on academic and mental health outcomes in children. She will provide methodologic expertise.
