Jana Fear, MLIS, is a PhD student in the Faculty of Library and Information Sciences at The University of Western Ontario. Her research interests involve understanding how people seek and use health information and the role of technologies, particularly the Internet, in the communication of health information. As part of the New Emerging Team (NET) grant, she is currently involved in a systematic review and meta-analysis of risk correlates for abuse against older persons. She is also involved in a systematic review and meta-analysis on risk correlates for woman abuse under the Violence Against Women (VAW) Research Program.  In addition to the above projects, Jana is responsible for maintaining and updating the New Emerging Team (www.fhs.mcmaster.ca) and Violence Against Women (www.fhs.mcmaster.ca) websites.
