Margo I. Wilson, PhD, MSL is Professor of Psychology, McMaster University. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in recognition for her contributions to the epidemiological study of risk factors for violence against wives and children. Her Masters in the Study of Law (MSL) from the University of Toronto law school has enabled her to understand the links between basic epidemiological research and policy.  Her current research program focuses on lethal and nonlethal violence against women and children. Her research has shown that several risk factors such as type of marital union, age of the wife, and presence of step-children apply to violence against wives. Dr. Wilson will oversee development of the RIT.
